Graduate Program Pre-Professional and Training Opportunities Students in the M.A. program gain professional experience in literature and writing careers by tutoring in the University Writing Center, teaching their own sections of CSUSM's GEW (General Education-Writing) course, and assisting LTWR faculty with scholarly research projects. For more information about internships, contact Prof. Formo or the Graduate Coordinator. For more information about tutoring in the Writing Center, contact the Director of the Writing Center. For more information about teaching GEW, contact Prof. Mendoza. Contact the Graduate Coordinator for information about Research Assistantship positions available each term. Research Assistantship opportunities occur on an irregular basis and are usually announced by open calls from faculty members, so check the graduate student listserv and your CSUSM email account regularly.
