LTWR offers many diverse pre-professional and extra-curricular
opportunities for students. In addition to the many student clubs
and activities open to LTWR majors (found here),
check out these great chances to do what you love!
The Writing Center
The Writing Center employs many LTWR students who
want to be a peer tutor. You'll need to take LTWR 525 first.

Teaching Intern or Research Intern
Many LTWR professors are looking for teaching or research interns.
If you are planning on going to grad school or law school, you might be
a good candidate for one of these internships. Talk with your
favorite professor! (In most cases, you need to have Federal Work Study
Grants to be considered for paid internships. Check with the financial
aid office at CSUSM for more information.)
Other Internships and Externships
See the Career Center, Professor Berghof, or your advisor for more
information on how to get college credit for an internship (teaching,
research, or externship). LTWR policy allows you to be paid or
to receive academic credit for the internship--but not both!
