Transfer Students

CSU San Marcos welcomes applications from upper division transfer applicants for fall and most spring semesters. CSU San Marcos utilizes basic CSU eligibility requirements for upper- division transfer applicants.

Admission as a upper division transfer student is based on completion of at least sixty (60) semester (ninety (90) quarter) college units, completion of the four California State University Basic Skills courses and cumulative grade point average in college- level course work. CSU San Marcos does not consider applications for admission from lower-division (freshman or sophomore) transfer applicants at this time.
