Composition,
Rhetoric, and Writing Programs on the Web: Are you interested in
understanding writing programs at a range of universities—some of the very
universities your students will be attending? This website designed
through a grant at UCI will introduce to a range of national university
writing programs.
Diagnostic Writing Service (DWS): This service is not a test! The
California State University System has designed a writing service to help
identify your students’ strengths and weaknesses as a writers. You are
encouraged to administer DWS to your juniors and seniors. CAPI will cover
the nominal cost for CAPI participating schools. Teachers please submit
your request by completing
this form.
English-Language Arts Content Standards: The State of California has
established Standards for K-12 instruction. You might be interested to
know the goals of each grade level.
Educational Testing Service (ETS):
ETS is a leader in educational testing
and research. You and your students may find ETS’s discussion of the
California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE)
and of the CSU English and mathematics placement tests (EPT
and ELM) useful.
