1. I need to make a course/section change....
Log into the QUIA Website and go to Student Workstation.
Under My books, click Plazas Lab Manual
Click Options
Click Change course/instructor (DO NOT CLICK DELETE BOOK!)
Enter new course code provided by instructor.
2. I get the error "Invalid book code; it has already been used" ...
There are a couple of things you could try:
- First, go to the QUIA web site (http://books.quia.com/) and log in again,
using the username/password that you registered with. After having logged
in, click on the blue tab labeled "My Books". See if the book (that you're
entering the book key for) is listed. If it is listed there, go ahead and
click on the book. The web page will then ask you for a course code (which
should have been given to you by your professor).
- If that doesn't work, go to the QUIA web site (http://books.quia.com/) and
log in, again using the username/password you registered with. After logging
in, in the upper right hand corner there should be a input box labeled "Add
a Book". Go ahead and enter the code for the book you are trying to register
(found in your green QUIA packet) in again.
If the above methods do not remedy the problem, contact the Language
Learning Center at 750-8058.
3. What do I do if I forget my username or password or an activity will not
open or does not work properly?
You should send an email to bookhelp@quia.com and report the exact
activity/activities that do not open and then move on to other activities.
Or, you can go under the quick log in screen at http://books.quia.com/books/
and click on "forgot username or password".
4. What if I lose my book key before I set up my account?
Book keys are comparable to hard copy books and cannot be replaced free of
charge if they are lost. Book keys can be purchased at http://www.quia.com/.
Go to the Bookstore section.
5. The course I am in is not listed
You will need to get the course code from your instructor. Go to the QUIA
website (http://books.quia.com) and log in, using the username/password that
you've signed up with.
6. Ive set up my account
now what?
You now need to enter the book code in the box provided. This code will be
needed for the lab manual as well as the workbook. These codes can be found
in two green QUIA packets sold with the new book.
7. I didn't put in the course code and I can't find where to do it...
Once you have logged in, there is a selection bar right above the books
that you have entered the codes for. Click on options, select either change
course/instructor or enroll in class and there you should be able to enter
the course code.
8. I am having other problems...
