7. The LLC is a good place to learn & study. Yes! Most of the time. Some of the time. It's not a good place to study. Why not?
8. The LLC is well marketed. Everyone knows where it is and what it offers. Most people know about it. Some people don't know about it. No one knows about the LLC. Why not?
9. I use the LLC's special technology (DVD players, Audacity, Sanako, etc). Yes! Without this technology, I would be stuck. It's helpful but not essential. I rarely use it. The technology doesn't help me at all. Why not?
10. I use the LLC's library resources (dictionaries, movies, etc). Yes! I use the library all the time. It's helpful but not essential. I don't need those resources very often. I didn't know there was a library! Why not?
11. The student assistants at the front desk are knowledgeable & helpful. They always know exactly what to do! They usually know the answer. I don't really need their help. They need more training. In what?

14. Tutors are generally very interested interested not at all interested in helping me.
15. During the session, tutors talk most of the time, because they explain a lot. about half the time, like a conversation very little, so that I do most of the talking.
16. Tutors understand the subject matter. Yes! They definitely know their stuff. The usually know what I'm talking about. They often don't know the answers.
17. Tutors explain things differently than my textbook. Yes! They are always very creative and use new examples. They sometimes, but not always, explain things in new ways. They usually just repeat the same explanation that's in my book.

Tutors help me with grammar by (check all that apply): asking open-ended questions (when do you use..? how is this different than...?) having me explain things back to them drawing pictures & making charts using lots of different examples, including comparing to English telling me little tips and easy ways to memorize rules and vocabulary having me write things myself (because they don't write on my paper)

Tutors also (check all that apply): help me develop ideas for a paper go over a paper *with* me, looking for patterns and weaknesses proofread papers *for* me, to make the grammar better than I could practice pronunciation and accent motivate me to succeed in the class make me believe I can do it
